You're invited the New Orleans Food Policy Council General Meeting in collaboration with Tulane Nutrition on November 13, 11 AM - 1:30 PM at the Broadside | 600 N. Broad Ave, New Orleans, LA. 

Since we last met, New Orleans has elected a new mayor and council; the city has hosted budget hearings in the midst of a financial crisis; and the federal government entered a shutdown that has caused the disruption of key welfare services such as SNAP. During this meeting, we will provide a breakdown of local, state, and federal food-related policies and host a panel on the ways researchers, food advocates, and community organizations can build coalition and leverage their unique skills and expertise to innovatively address the complex problems facing our local food system. Lunch will be served.
