Why is it important that you attend?

These annual sessions are where LaFPC sets its agricultural policy priorities for the coming year and reports back on the ones from the year prior. It’s your space to influence the group’s work and plug in to make statewide policy change! Has something been causing you a headache? Slaughter policy, cottage food policy, farmer supports- if it pertains to policy and agriculture, this is your space to shape our council’s decisions!

This year’s roundtable/ listening session will be held at the Hilltop Arboretum again, and will have gas cards for active and selling producers again. All producers of any scale are not only welcome but encouraged to come. This year, we will devote a full hour of conversation to 2025’s State Appropriation for farmers and updates on the program.
